The Vesta Stories
Ghosts linger among generations. We don’t get to choose what haunts us.
When Grandpa Bloom dies, Lina Chenowith hopes the ghost of Elyane LaSalle will leave with him. Before he is even in the ground, however, a woman falls to her death form the balcony of the Vesta Theater, leaving Lina to suspect Elyane of murder from beyond the grave. Lina will have to come to grips with her family’s tragic past and her own mortality if she wants to learn the truth about her ghosts and their power.
The Vesta series looks at the power of secrets carried through generations, the dangers of trying to bury them. Each short story, novel, and novella delves further into the darkness of Ballard County, KY, where the unseen world threatens to swallow up those who dare engage it.
